Vesta Announces Enhanced Capabilities in High-Temperature Extrusion of PEEK™ Tubing and More

FRANKLIN, Wis. (Oct. 3, 2011) — Vesta, a global leader in silicone and thermoplastic contract manufacturing services for medical device manufacturers, now has two lines optimized for high-temperature thermoplastics extrusion and has hired an additional engineer with extensive experience working with these materials. These additions will allow more customers to experience the benefits of high-temperature extrusion with Vesta, including superior column strength and exceptional torque. Vesta’s proprietary process allows for the achievement of crystalline surface characteristics.

The optimized lines and additional engineer represent Vesta’s ongoing effort to invest in its ability to produce high-temperature extrusions of PEEK™, Radel and Ultem of nearly any volume and tolerance requirement. Vesta has successfully extruded these materials for several years now, but growing customer demand has led the company to upgrade its equipment and expand its team to better meet market needs.
